It’s often said a person’s attitude and effort are truly the only things they can control. With a new year, there’s a fork ahead. Will we choose Happy Lane or the Old Dump Road?

We’ve got a lot of good options lining the streets of our small town. A great day might find you catching up with a friend over coffee, or maybe treating the kids to a day at the PACC. Or happy might mean kicking back with a beer & pizza while watching the game. We get it. That’s why we’re working in small businesses in our communities.

To stay strong, vibrant and attract young people, our towns need hundreds of different businesses. Grocery stores, gas stations, banks, and restaurants. Insurance agents, automotive shops, and daycares. Each of these businesses --and so many more-- contribute to our town and enrich our lives. That’s why doing business locally is essential. Imagine the hassle if we didn’t have a grocery store here, or had to drive to another town to go out to dinner. What if we didn’t have enough strong volunteers for our fire department?

Working together, each doing our part, builds Happy Lane. Let’s walk this new year together.
